Places are limited to 30 on a first come first served basis. These interactive courses consist of small group work and attendees are expected to fully participate in the discussions with cameras and microphones on. Some pre-course learning is required which is sent to attendees in advance of the course.
The courses will provide you with an overview and background of HFE in transfusion from SHOT, including key recommendations, resources and application of HFE in incident investigation and design principles.
This includes small group interactive exercises using HFE tools, a masterclass demonstrating use of the SHOT Human Factors Investigation Tool (HFIT) using a case study, and small group work to apply HFIT using case studies.
The courses are an excellent opportunity for CPD through participation and reflective practice.
This course is relevant to all health care professionals involved in transfusion – laboratory staff, clinicians, Transfusion Practitioners, haemovigilance specialists, quality assurance professionals and patient safety teams.
