Data collection for the 2026 National Comparative Audit of the Use of Prophylactic Anti-D in Pregnancy will be live from April until the end of June.
Errors in anti-D Ig administration remain a significant concern, as highlighted by recent SHOT data, despite national guidance, safety alerts, and existing tools to support safe practice. To help address this, a national audit will review variation in local processes and support hospitals to strengthen pathways across risk assessment, administration, documentation, and follow-up. The audit covers both routine antenatal prophylaxis and management of potentially sensitising events, including birth.
