Anti-D Immunoglobulin errors and immunisation in pregnancy: Insights from SHOT

Errors in practice related to anti-D Ig have the potential to cause harm to the mother or child immediately or in the future. SHOT have created two Anti-D Ig videos to to improve knowledge and help reduce these errors.

Part 1 – Exploring the impact of sensitisation to the D antigen for pregnant indivduals and explaining why correct and timely administration of anti-D immunoglobulin is important.

Part 2 – Learning from anti-D Ig administration errors and cases of immune anti-D reported to SHOT.
