Invitation for expression of interest: SHOT Working Expert vacancies

Help shape the future of transfusion safety in the UK

The SHOT Working Expert Group (WEG) currently has several non-remunerated vacancies and invites expressions of interest from individuals with relevant expertise and a passion for improving transfusion safety.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national haemovigilance, influence patient safety initiatives, support learning across the UK, and work alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts committed to improving transfusion practice.

Applicants should have a good understanding of UK transfusion practice and are encouraged to discuss the role and anticipated time commitment with their line manager before applying. Successful candidates will work closely with existing WEG members and SHOT team.

• Pulmonary complications
• Febrile, Allergic and Hypotensive Reactions (FAHR)
• Incorrect Blood Component Transfused (IBCT)
• Errors related to Information Technology (IT)
• Right Blood, Right Patient (RBRP)
