E-learning for healthcare (elfh) learning platform changes
Please note the below changes will be taking place to SHOT eLearning modules hosted on the elearning for healthcare (elfh) learning platform
These changes are part of a wider transition to the NHS Learning Hub/Zone, scheduled for October 2025, and will result in the decommissioning of the current elfh platform.
This transition will cause a temporary disruption to access including to key modules such as the Blood Transfusion Training programme (BTT) and the following SHOT modules:
- Insights for Safer Transfusion
- Module 1 – Overview of Haemovigilance
- Module 2 – Reporting to SHOT
- Module 3- Learning from Haemovigilance
- Human Factors and Ergonomics
- Specific requirements for patients – The essentials
It will also mean the loss of historical completion data, including certificates and progress in any partially completed modules.
A specific date is still to be confirmed for the move.
Recommended actions
To help mitigate the impact, the following actions are recommended:
- Training leads should download any necessary completion data from the Tableau reporting dashboard on or before Tuesday 30 September.
- Advise staff to complete any training in progress before this date.
- Ensure certificates and evidence of completion are downloaded or printed ahead of the transition.
- Avoid undertaking any eLearning during October, to prevent loss of progress or data.
There will be further guidance on how to access and navigate the new platform from November onwards.
Please note: Organisations using AICC access via their own learning management systems or the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) platform will not be affected. eIntegrity users will be contacted directly if their access is impacted.
Is there an alternative way to access the SHOT eLearning modules?
The SHOT modules are already available on the NHS Learning Hub/Zone and we recommend users access them using this platform going forwards.
