Annual SHOT Symposium 2024

SHOT is delighted to announce that registration for the 2024 SHOT Symposium which will be held on Tuesday, 9 July 2024 at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel is now OPEN!!

Delegate fees have been frozen again this year, so there will be an ‘Early Bird’ fee of £110.00 per person (strictly non-refundable). Early bird rates apply to any registrations where payment is received by Friday 31st May 2024 thereafter the delegate fee will be £130 per person.

Please note: the delegate fee has been kept as low as possible, and to maintain this, payment must be made in advance by credit/debit card ONLY.

The closing date for completed application forms is FRIDAY 21 JUNE 2024

2024 Symposium Abstracts

Applications are now invited for poster presentation at the SHOT Symposium. For 2024 any accepted abstract will also receive a FREE delegate place for the lead/presenting author! In addition, the authors of the TWO best abstracts will be given a 10-minute oral presentation slot in the 2024 SHOT Symposium programme.

2024 Free Bursary Places

There are limited bursary places available to enable students or individuals working at junior staff grades to experience the Annual SHOT Symposium and where appropriate to present their research work at the meeting.

Eligibility: Students, junior healthcare and laboratory staff, newly appointed transfusion practitioners, junior nursing and training medical grades.  It is expected that employed staff will be Agenda for Change (AfC) Band 6 or under, but exceptions may be made dependent on the supporting statements.

Availability: The number of bursaries will vary according to available budget.

Value: The total value of each bursary is a complimentary place at the Annual SHOT Symposium, travel and accommodation will NOT be paid.
